He was formerly from Indian Administartive Service. He worked in
various capcities in Government and last posting was as Chairman and Managing
Director of Export Credit Guarantee Corporation. He served as first Chairman of
the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited and was on its various committees. Presently
he serves as independent director on company Boards.
